District Sales Manager

 

Job Title: District Sales Manager

Department: Sales

Reports To: Regional Sales Manager

Summary:   District Sales Position, based out of our Houston manufacturing plant, covering the state of Texas with the potential to expand territory.  Successful candidate will work with existing customer base while prospecting for new business throughout all channels in the territory, requiring travel within the territory. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  •  
  • Management of existing account base, while actively soliciting new business opportunities in the territory (Texas and Louisiana). 
  • Prospect for and acquire new business in all Koch customer markets
  • Establish rapport and develop solid relationships with key customer contacts.
  • Present training sessions to educate customers and prospective customers about Koch filter products.
  • Conduct surveys of filters applications in the field to make appropriate recommendations for improvements
  • Meet and exceed sales, price, and margin targets.
  • Maintain weekly sales and expense reports.
  • Provide management direction and support to local customer service representatives and order entry personnel within each region.  
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Competencies                  

 

Successful candidates should have 2-3 years sales experience in the filtration industry. Exposure to HVAC and paint overspray markets is preferred. College degree preferred, plus working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Power Point etc.

Education and/or Experience                  

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Business Management, Engineering or Marketing from an accredited four-year College or University is preferred. Three to five years of successful outside sales and presentation experience required.

 

Language Skills                  

Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  The ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

 

Computer Skills                  

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of computer sales software; Outlook Internet software; Pricing software; Microsoft Programs, such as Excel Spreadsheets and Word Processing software.

Marketing Manager

 

Job Title: Marketing Manager

Reports To: VP of Sales and Marketing

Summary:   The Marketing Manager is responsible for managing all National and Regional trade shows, creating and maintaining graphics for all products lines, and designing product advertisement.  Directs the Product Managers to provide training to the inside and outside sales force and creates and presents seminars to sales as well as customers

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manage all National and Regional Trade shows; arranging all show needs (carpet, electrical, furniture, lead retrieval, rigging, etc), requesting samples and literature needs, display backdrops and graphics, coordinating shipments, maintain all display materials and graphics, lead database, provide follow up letters and literature and distribute leads to sales
  • Web site (management, design, upkeep), literature and all collateral material (printed and electronic). Design and implement a cohesive strategy of unification across the product brands and create graphic standards for group and individual product lines
  • Create monthly advertising for SNIPS magazine, design standards for advertising posters and flyers, design point of purchase materials for specific products
  • Provide channel marketing strategies to Sales
  • Create the marketing portion of the Sales meetings in accordance with objectives formulated by the V P of Sales and Marketing
  • Provide training in field marketing and merchandising to sales
  • Direct the Product Managers in providing product training to the sales force
  • Create sales tools to assist sales department in promotion of specific products
  • Create seminars for each brand promotion to contractors, architects and engineers
  • Create and present seminars which focus on brand uses and positive attributes at industry functions
  • Handles additional responsibilities and projects as assigned

 

Education and/or Experience         

  • Bachelor's Degree (B. A.) from an accredited four-year College or University
  • Five plus years of related experience and/or training; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Air filtration background a real plus.

Computer Skills                  

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Excel Spreadsheet software and MS Word, MS PowerPoint Word Processing software, Quark Xpress, Page Maker and/or other graphic design software a plus.

Customer Service - Louisville, KY

Job Functions:

 

  • Serve as primary communications link between customers and other internal departments in order to facilitate customer orders and requests.
  • Assist customers on inquires, order related issues, product information, credits and other issues pertaining to customers’ accounts.
  • Verify orders and resolve errors or questions on orders as received.
  • Respond to inquiries from customers on order related questions.
  • Process change orders, credits, and product return authorizations.
  • Provide information to customers and sales staff on order related issues via incoming calls, e-mail, and/or fax.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Customer Service Manager and Customer Service Leader.

 

Required Experience:

  • 1 - 3 years experience in a customer service support center environment preferably in manufacturing with heavy emphasis on sales, distribution, manufacturer and end-user.
  • Knowledge of the filtration industry desirable.
  • Basic math and typing skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Competent telephone skills.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
